Well, you have to remember that your date is an individual. There is no 100% guaranteed place for date, however if you make sure that your date feels comfortable, secured and you have the opportunity talking and getting to know each other there is a better chance forming a relationship.

Nature:
Is always a good choice but remember you never know what's the weather going to be like. Unexpected changes of temperature, wind, rain can easily blow up the whole date unless you both are reasonably crazy. Always have a B plan, where to go if your romantic walk in the park is just not going to happen.
Cinema:
Entertaining but you can not really talk. Try to organize a follow up event so you can talk and get a bit closer to each other.
Pubs:
A little alcohol can easily loose your temper. Be moderate and watch out for local trouble makers.
If it's to noisy, leave.
Coffee: Normally, that's a safe choice but don't do that all the time. It can get boring.
Night out: It can be really fun yet again you have to make sure you'll have opportunity to talk. You'll also have to watch for other competitors for your date's heart (and whatsoever).
Just be creative, entertaining and always have a plan B if you don't seam to be getting closer.
